Since first visiting in 2015, I’ve witnessed Belize’s growth firsthand. While development has brought opportunities and global attention, it’s also led to more commercialization and large corporate tourism. Explore Belize Trips was born from a desire to preserve the true Belize experience — one that celebrates local people, hidden gems, and community-driven tourism.
A Message from the Founder
I first came to Belize as a young solo female traveler, seeking adventure and a sense of peace. From the moment I landed, I was welcomed with open arms — treated not as a tourist, but as family. The owner of the small beach casita where I was staying sent her husband to pick me up from the airport in his golf cart. He gave me a short tour through town, showing me how to get around and introducing me to everyone we passed along the way. I felt instantly at home.
That experience changed my life. It showed me the warmth, generosity, and connection that define Belize — the kind of magic that can’t be found in travel brochures or all-inclusive resorts. Over time, I built friendships with locals, discovered hidden gems across San Pedro and the islands, and fell in love with the soul of this country.
